Ed and Carol will be leaving today to attend the Global Missions Health Conference (Nov. 8-10) being held at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
Here is an introduction to GMHC from their webpage:
The 2012 Global Missions Health Conference
The 2012 GMHC is soon approaching and we're in full gear to build this gathering time with quality and excellence to help better connect and education you and the thousands who attend to engage in healthcare missions. We're excited about the variety of speakers, wide range of exhibiting organizations, and some special new events for this year. GMHC will offer over 40+ Speakers and 80+ Breakout Sessions. Some of the topics that will be discussed are:
- Cancer in Africa
- Medical Management of TB
- Pediatric Pain Management in Resource-Limited Areas
- Orphans and Vulnerable Children
- Update on the Global Trafficking in Persons Situation and How Health Professionals can get Involved
- Developing a Biblical Worldview for Healthcare Missions
- Building a Sustainable HealthCare Mission Model
- A Biblical Perspective on Suffering
- Healthcare Missions and the Kingdom of God
Over 120 Exhibitors will be at GMHC.
WWLAB will be one of those exhibitors, and we are excited to be there!
This will be a very busy time for both Ed and Carol as they share what God is doing through WWLAB. In between the Plenary sessions, people are encouraged to walk the isles and look at exhibitors and engage in conversation with them. Over a 1,000+ are expected to attend over the next 3 days. We ask that you remember Ed and Carol in your prayers over the next few days. It is an exciting time, but can also be tiring. God gives the strength and the stamina!
