Last Friday was an exciting day here at WWLAB (like most days :). A missionary couple-the "Ts"- from CAR (Central African Republic), who work with the Presbyterian Evangelical Fellowship-Gamboula Hospital, dropped in for a time of Q&A with Ed.
4 years ago Ed was in the CAR and met the "Ts". We encourage missionaries on the field to come by WWLAB for a visit and training when they are on Home Assignment.
When Ed had answered their questions, he asked if they would like to browse some of the supplies that we have in the warehouse. "Of Course!" was their answer...
After being on the field for many years, when asked if you would like to go and browse through a warehouse...it is like being a kid in a candy store :)
The "Ts" were delighted. As they walked up and down the isles and saw many things that would benefit them at Gamboula Hospital, their eyes fell on 'that one special item!' In front of them was a blood donor chair...their eyes lit up with excitement. Their lab. tech. at Gamboula Hospital had a Wish List of certain things that he would love to have in CAR, on the Wish List (which was 8 years old!) was a blood donor chair!
Could they have it?
Of course!
The "Ts" were delighted, and Ed was delighted...he had been storing that chair for many years in the hopes that someone would eventually need it.
The van that the "Ts" were driving was then emptied of everything that was packed inside and room was made for 'The Chair', and other pieces of equipment that will help the people of CAR. The camera was grabbed a little too late to get a picture of The Chair, but it is in there!
It is so much fun to hear stories like this, and witness the excitement on missionaries faces when God answers prayers (sometimes 8 yrs old!) here at WWLAB.
As you continue to pray for the ministry of WWLAB, you are part of the answers also.
