ELWA (Eternal Love Winning Africa) Hospital, Liberia West Africa.

Thanks for your prayers for James as he was at ELWA (Eternal Love Winning Africa) Hospital in Liberia. The work-week went by very quickly as he installed 3 new analyzers and trained 4 of the staff. His students were eager to learn, and did a great job gaining new skills.

James had been to this same location 2  years ago in August 2013, so it is always special to make a return visit to a 'familiar' place. While he was there, he was able to repair their current chemistry analyzer so they can use the many supplies that they still have.

One of the highlights of the trip was spending time with N & D - SIM missionaries who were at ELWA last year during the Ebola crisis. N actually contracted the disease and was eventually evacuated to the US for treatment. To hear their story 'first hand', and to be in the house where she was isolated for many days, was a special privilege. Their testimony of God's Grace and Faithfulness was truly amazing.

Ebola certainly took its toll on the country of Liberia. Thankfully, there are NO known active cases at this time. The Ebola Unit which was filled to overflowing last year at this time is now EMPTY -  PTL!

Pray for the missionary team as they rebuild and recover from this very difficult time. Construction of the new hospital build was suspended during the crisis, and is just now starting to resume. The hospital administration is hoping that WWLAB can return in a year or 2 to outfit their new lab.

ECWA Hospital, Egbe Nigeria

Thanks for your prayers as James and Cindy Borody traveled to and from Egbe hospital in Nigeria. They were very aware of God's hand of protection over them in the many miles of air travel and the long road trip from Abuja to Egbe.

They met a team of 13 people from Canada and the US who accompanied us to Egbe in 2 vehicles. They were blessed to ride in the air conditioned one! The team was part of the the Egbe Revitalization Project. It was a joy to meet them all and get to know them during our week together.

James was kept busy in the lab with some repairs, training, and retraining! He enjoyed being with the lab staff again who he had met in January. They were thrilled to have him back - and prayed that the Nigerian border would be closed so he could stay longer!

Cindy saw her housekeeping staff that she had worked with on our previous trip. They were still doing a good job in keeping the hospital clean. A huge blessing for Cindy was seeing a young girl that she had taught in the local school beside the hospital in Jan. The girl was in the hospital with her family visiting her sister who had just had an appendectomy. The girl recognized Cindy from 7 months ago, called her by name, and even sang the song Cindy had taught the class! Needless to say, it was a very special moment for Cindy. We never know who we are going to touch with God's love, or what kind of impact we will make.

Cindy was also able to help the new MK teacher on the Egbe compound to set up her one room school. What a blessing for her to be able to share her skills and experience in this area with a young woman who will take on the teaching responsibilities of the Egbe MKs.

God's perfect timing was evident throughout the entire week. Many stories of his faithfulness, protection, provision, and grace could be told. Their long journey back home gave them time to reflect on all that had transpired during their time there.

Flights were all on time, baggage arrived in Nigeria without any problems, and no hassles at the borders.

Thanks again for standing with WWLAB in prayer. The Borodys had an amazing week, and give Him all the glory that they could be a small part of reaching the people of Nigeria with the gospel.

Egbe, Nigeria

A look from the main entrance into the new lab, what a transformation!.

When James had finished training Gabriel, the Lab Scientist at Egbe, Gabriel began training the rest of the Lab staff.

It always is a joy and treat to be able to set up, and train in a new lab setting. Egbe was no exception. The excitement of the lab staff, and the rest of the hospital as training was taking place was contagious!
As you continue to pray for the ministry of WWLAB, you are part of that excitement, thank you!

Harpur Egypt, Ed Bos.

Ed Bos, along with Tom Lohrman recently made a trip to Harpur Egypt.

Much prayer went into this trip, and the LORD proved His Faithfulness.

We give Him all the Glory!

Ed and Tom went to Harpur to train residents on the PAACS software. In the above picture, we see Ed training the 2 PAACS residents on the software. The residency program is just 2 weeks old, and there is alot of excitement at Harpur.

Here we have a couple of pictures of the Internet lines placed on the rooftop of the hospital, and a picture of the line actually cut. They had their work 'cut out' for them.

While Ed and Tom were in Egypt, they took advantage of being able to see the Pyramids.
We thank you for your continued prayers and support of the ministry of WWLAB. We are seeing God do amazing things through your prayers!

Africa Mercy Ship

John recently returned from a week on board the Africa Mercy ship which is in port at Pointe Noir, Congo.
We thank you for your prayers for John as he traveled and for his 'missing' baggage!
John was able to be reunited with his missing bag 30 minutes before he boarded his RETURN flight to the States. As John went through his bag, he soon realized that there were a few items missing. His cell phone, and camera. He was very thankful to find all of his tools still in his bag. He has been accumulating these tools for many years, and to have them taken would have been a huge loss.
We do have some pictures on file of the Africa Mercy Ship that John took on a previous trip, so we will share those with you on this post.

John was able to get quite a bit of work done in the lab to get it ready to start receiving patients. The ship is well equipped, and staffed.

We at WWLAB like to give John a hard time when he does these trips with Africa Mercy. John enjoys his coffee, and onboard the ship there is a favorite coffe joint that he likes to frequent!

All kidding aside, we are thankful that this trip was successful, and God showed His mercy to all involved.

Malawi to Haiti.

Partners in Health/Malawi

Mission of Hope/Haiti
(James)

From July 13-21, WWLAB stretched over 7,500 miles (12,160+ km) traveling, servicing, training and doing site visits for computer software.

~ Ed Bos left on July 13th for Malawi, and James Borody left the 14th for Haiti, both were back at WWLAB in Kalamazoo Michigan,  Monday, the 22nd.
~ It is so encouraging to hear how the LORD goes before each trip to prepare the way for His Work to be accomplished among the nations.

Here are a few pictures of similarities and differences between the 2 trips.
