During these trips, it is always the Lord, that takes our guys there and back safely, and this trip was no exception. During this 'adventure': one plane that had a hydraulic problem and needed to be replaced turned a 5 hour layover into a 5 minutes sprint (in Johannesburg) to catch the next flight to Livingston, Zambia. One cancelled flight, turned a 3 hour layover into a 7 hour layover, which in turn, caused another 10 minute sprint (in Chicago) to catch a flight back to Kalamazoo. We thank you for your prayers.
Despite the challenges getting to and from Zimba, once James was in the lab he was able to get the repairs and training complete.
Here he is with the lab staff
As we travel to do repairs, training and installs, our prayer is always that we would be able to encourage the missionaries that are at each hospital/clinic. James had the privilege of sitting and talking with this couple during many meals. (Dan and Joan Jones). May God continue to bless the work of their hands as they work in Zimba.
Saturday morning as James was being driven to Livingston to catch his flight to Johannesburg, they passed a group of people on the road looking at 'something'. James was able to get out of his vehicle and see what all the excitement was about...!
Job 37:5
God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.
