Ed and Carol packed their bags and headed off to Brackenhurst Conference Center in Kenya last Friday, for the 2012 CMDA Conference. The Conference runs from Feb. 6-16th. This is a wonderful Conference that gathers many medical and dental missionaries serving overseas to come together for encouragment and new learning venues.
Ed will be presenting a Seminar Wednesday, February 8th. We appreciate your prayers for him during that time. Here is an excerpt of what Ed will be sharing with the missionaries:

Appropriate Lab Technology for Developing World Settings Criteria for evaluation of procedures and resources for emerging country labs will be presented. The goal of the session is to assist attendees in making decisions appropriate to each specific situation. Discussion will include pros and cons of various test methodology, maintainability and life-cycle cost of equipment, support and training of staff, applications of technology
-Have a framework on which to evaluate the purchase of lab equipment for their situation.
-Gain access to suppliers of new technology, lab equipment, supplies, training and support.
-Apply "Life-cycle Costs" criteria to acquisition decisions.

The office is very quiet without Ed and Carol, we miss them, yet, we know that they are doing their part in fulfilling The Great Commission.
